1. In order to enter the Library, readers must produce their university record book or university Identity card.
2. Readers are not permitted to bring bags, parcels, books or copies of any printed materials, umbrellas or any personal belongings in to the library. They have to leave them on the shelf outside the library.
3. Silence should be kept in all public reading and other service areas.
4. Readers should keep their mobile phones switched off in the library.
5. No group discussion or meeting will be permitted in the library.
6. Without library cards books are not issued.
7. Avoid from disarranging the books on shelves or hiding them.
8. Consumption of food and drinks, smoking, use of matches or lighters or an open flame in the library is strictly prohibited.
9. Readers are not allowed to accompany any visitors to the library. All visitors should obtain the librarian’s permission to enter the library.
10. Taking photographs inside the library is not allowed. Prior approval of the librarian in writing is required to take such photographs.
11. It is required that all readers avoid wearing unsuitable clothes like shorts, hats or caps , noisy shoes etc., when they enter the library.
12. All library materials and other resources should be treated and protected as national resources.
13. Any disorderly or improper behavior or breach of regulations will render the reader or borrower concerned liable for suspension of the library facilities or disciplinary action decided by the university.

Library cards are not transferable. The holder of library tickets is responsible for any library material issued under such tickets and therefore should protect them with utmost care.

* Permanent reference books (PR) will be issued two hours prior to the closing of the Library on Friday and to be returned before 10.00 am of the following Monday. Overdue charges will be imposed on late returns.
Damage and lose of library books
• Marking and defacing of books is strictly forbidden. Users should report if any such marks or damages to books if found to the issuing counter. In absence of such a report the books will be held responsible and fined for any damage observed at the time the books are returned.
• It is the responsibility of the borrower to protect Library materials borrowed from the Library. Any lose of library materials should be reported immediately. In such situations a copy of the same edition or a later edition of the title lost can be produced as replacement or the fee charged by the Library has to be paid by the borrower.
