The full-day consultation explored Sri Lanka’s digital governance landscape, key challenges, and opportunities for strengthening human-rights–centered approaches to managing digital platforms. Insights from the event contributed to regional policy development and toolkits for South Asian regulators and civil society organizations.
This initiative formed part of a wider regional effort to promote safer, more inclusive, and accountable digital ecosystems across Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
The consultation was organized by the Department of Film & Television Production Technology, UoVT, in partnership with UNESCO, Tribhuvan University (Nepal), and Jahangirnagar University (Bangladesh).
